TAPE-IN INSTALLATION

HOW FAST IS APPLICATION?

1-2 hours — the fastest installation of any extension method.

TYPICAL INSTALLATION TIME

Tape-in installation takes 1-2 hours for most clients. This is significantly faster than keratin bonds (3-5 hours) or hand-sewn wefts (2-3 hours).

The panels attach quickly using pre-taped adhesive. There's no heat application, no sewing, and no individual strand work — just sandwich, press, and move on.

You're in and out the same morning or afternoon. Perfect if you have a busy schedule and can't commit to a half-day appointment.

WHAT AFFECTS INSTALLATION TIME

Number of panels. More length and volume requires more panels, which adds time. A full head takes longer than subtle volume.

Hair thickness and texture. Thick hair requires more precise sectioning to ensure clean placement, which can add 15-30 minutes.

Customization. Color blending or strategic placement for specific styles adds extra time but creates a more personalized result.

First-time vs. re-tape. Initial installations can take the full 2 hours. Re-tapes are often faster since we know your hair and the placement is already established.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING INSTALLATION

Your hair is sectioned to create clean horizontal layers. Each section is about the width of a panel.

A small section of your natural hair is isolated. One tape panel is placed underneath, another on top, sandwiching your hair between them.

The panels are pressed firmly together. The adhesive bonds immediately — no waiting, no heat application needed.

This process repeats for each panel until the desired fullness and length is achieved. At the end, your hair is styled and blended.

WHY SPEED MATTERS

Fast installation doesn't mean rushed or low-quality. Tape-ins are designed to be efficient without sacrificing results.

You can schedule a tape-in appointment during a lunch break, before work, or between errands. It fits into your life rather than taking over your whole day.

Re-tapes are even faster — typically 1-1.5 hours. You're in for regular maintenance appointments that don't disrupt your schedule.
