TAPE-IN SUITABILITY

ARE TAPE-INS RIGHT FOR MY HAIR TYPE?

Work for most hair types — lightweight, fast to install, and easy to maintain.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

Fine to medium hair. Tape-ins are incredibly lightweight and lay flat, making them gentle on delicate strands that can't support heavier methods.

Want quick installation. Tape-ins go in fast — typically 1-2 hours — perfect if you want results without spending half your day in a salon chair.

Looking for flexibility. Because they're easy to remove and reinstall, tape-ins work well if you want the option to take breaks or switch up your look.

Prefer low commitment. Tape-ins need move-ups every 6-8 weeks, but the process is fast and straightforward. Less time, less hassle.

ALSO GREAT FOR

Thick hair. Even though tape-ins are lightweight, they work beautifully on thick hair. You can add multiple panels for significant volume and length.

First-time extension wearers. Tape-ins are a great introduction to extensions. They're fast, comfortable, and easy to adjust if you want to try more or less hair.

Busy schedules. Fast installation and fast re-tapes mean less time away from work, family, and life. In and out quickly.

NOT IDEAL FOR

Very oily scalps. Excess oil can break down the tape adhesive faster, causing panels to slip. If your scalp produces a lot of oil, you may need more frequent re-tapes.

Product-heavy routines. If you rely on oils, serums, and leave-in treatments near your roots, tape-ins may not hold well. You'll need to avoid oil-based products entirely.

Very short hair. You need at least 3-4 inches of length to hide the panels. Shorter than that, and the tape tabs may be visible.

HOW TEXTURE AFFECTS FIT

Straight to wavy hair: Tape-ins blend seamlessly. The flat panels disappear under your natural hair and move naturally with your texture.

Curly hair: Works well when the extension hair is matched to your curl pattern. The panels stay hidden within curls and add volume without bulk.

Textured or coily hair: Can work with proper placement and texture matching. A consultation helps determine if tape-ins or another method suits your hair better.
