SEATTLE HAIR EXTENSIONS @_westside_style_
HAND-TIED STYLING

CAN I STYLE, HEAT, AND TIE THEM UP NORMALLY?

Yes — hand-tied wefts are designed for full styling flexibility.

HEAT STYLING

You can use all your regular heat tools — flat irons, curling irons, blow dryers — on hand-tied wefts. The extension hair is human hair that styles just like your natural hair.

Always use heat protectant spray before styling. This protects both your natural hair and the extensions from heat damage.

Avoid applying direct heat to the beaded rows. Focus on styling the length of the hair. The rows are meant to stay secure, not withstand concentrated heat.

✦

UPDOS AND PONYTAILS

Hand-tied wefts are specifically designed to stay hidden in updos. The flat rows don't create bumps or lumps that show through pulled-back styles.

You can wear high ponytails, buns, braids, and half-updos without worrying about the rows showing. The placement is strategic to stay concealed.

Avoid putting ponytails directly on top of a row. Position the hair tie slightly above or below the beaded rows to prevent unnecessary tension.

Don't wear super tight styles every single day. Constant tension can stress the attachment points over time. Mix in loose styles too.

✦

DAILY STYLING

Wear your hair down. Hand-tied wefts look and move beautifully when worn loose. The hair flows naturally and blends seamlessly.

Curls and waves. The wefts hold curl just like natural hair. You can achieve beachy waves, tight curls, or sleek straight styles.

Braids and twists. Braiding works perfectly with hand-tied wefts. The rows stay secure and hidden, and the braids look thick and full.

Textured styles. If you have naturally curly or textured hair with matching extension hair, you can style it exactly as you would without extensions.

✦

WHAT TO AVOID

Tight updos daily. While you can wear ponytails and buns, doing so tightly every single day can create tension on the rows. Vary your styles.

Sleeping in tight braids. Loose braids for bed are fine, but tight braiding can pull on the wefts overnight.

Heavy styling products near the rows. Use lightweight products and apply them to mid-lengths and ends, not at the roots where the beads are.

Brushing through the rows. Always brush below the rows, holding the hair just above the wefts to avoid pulling on the attachment points.
