SEATTLE HAIR EXTENSIONS @_westside_style_
HAND-TIED SUITABILITY

ARE HAND-SEWN WEFTS RIGHT FOR MY HAIR TYPE?

Work for fine to thick hair — versatile, lightweight, and customizable.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

Fine to medium hair. Hand-tied wefts are specifically designed to be lightweight and flat, making them perfect for hair that can't support heavier methods.

Looking for volume without bulk. The thin wefts add fullness and length without creating a heavy, thick feeling. They enhance what you have naturally.

Want flexibility with maintenance. Move-ups every 6-8 weeks keep them looking fresh, and you can adjust the number of rows over time based on your needs.

Prefer natural movement. Hand-tied wefts lay flat and move with your scalp, creating realistic flow and bounce without stiffness.

✦

ALSO GREAT FOR

Thick hair. Even though hand-tied wefts are lightweight, they work beautifully on thick hair too. You can add multiple rows for significant length and fullness without excess weight.

Active lifestyles. The flat wefts stay secure during workouts, and you can tie your hair up without worrying about rows showing.

Textured hair. Hand-tied wefts can be matched to curly, wavy, or coily textures. They blend seamlessly when the extension hair matches your natural pattern.

✦

NOT IDEAL FOR

Severely damaged or breaking hair. If your hair is fragile from chemical damage or breakage, it needs recovery time before adding any extensions.

Very short hair. You need at least 3-4 inches of length to properly anchor and hide the beaded rows. Shorter than that, and the wefts won't blend or attach securely.

Commitment concerns. Hand-tied wefts require regular move-up appointments. If you're not ready for ongoing maintenance every 6-8 weeks, consider a lower-maintenance option.

CUSTOMIZING FOR YOUR HAIR

During your consultation, we'll assess your hair density, texture, and goals to determine how many rows you need and where to place them.

Fine hair might need 2-3 rows for natural fullness. Thick hair can handle 4-5 rows or more for dramatic length and volume.

We can adjust over time. Start with fewer rows to see how your hair responds, then add more at your next move-up if you want more fullness.
